As head of the Punjab Institute of Neurosciences department, he is recognised nationally as one of the highest-volume neurosurgeons for complex subspeciality neurosurgical work. Services offered include awake craniotomy for eloquent brain tumours with the utilisation of tractography to obtain a supramaximal resection for invasive tumours whilst minimising postoperative neurological deficits. In addition, we have expertise with the utilisation of the exoscope in our neurosurgical practice, which we can employ for a safer surgery if required. Thus, the National Neurosurgery Associates are among the few groups in Pakistan to offer a comprehensive range of surgical modalities such as neuro navigation, Stereo taxy, intraoperative computed tomography, and endoscopes for complex skull base surgery. Professor Hussain offers a full range of functional neurosurgical services, including epilepsy, the medical and surgical management of movement disorders, and facial pain syndromes. He is passionate about educating the next generation of neurosurgeons.
